The present Privacy Policy sets out all the information relating to the data processing carried out by ROVI® Biotech Limited, (hereinafter, “the Company”) of personal data collected through this Web regarding the interaction that each user has with ROVI®, in accordance with the provisions of the UK GDPR and the UK Data Protection Act 2018.

For the purposes of this Policy, the following definitions shall apply:

  1. What personal data do we process?

The Company processes the data provided by Users (hereinafter “User” or “Users” indistinctly) through the different forms and channels enabled on the website owned by the Company in order to respond to the request, or consultation of the Users, as well as the data obtained while browsing. In any case, we will only process the personal data provided for the purposes indicated in this Privacy Policy.

Unless expressly indicated otherwise, all personal data requested in the forms enabled on the Website for data collection are mandatory since they are essential and if you do not provide them we will not be able to attend to your query, manage your candidacy or guarantee the proper functioning of the Website. Therefore, Users must fill in the fields marked as “mandatory” in the forms of the different Websites since, otherwise, it could be impossible to provide the requested service or for the Website to function correctly.

In the case of providing data from third parties, the User who provides said data guarantees that they have been obtained and provided to the Company after having been informed and authorised by the owners thereof, in accordance with the regulations on the protection of personal data. The Company will process User data for the following purposes:

  • To allow access to the Website and its contents and functionalities.
  • To manage and optimise the Website, as well as preserve its security and integrity to guarantee its proper functioning and the security of the network and its information.
  • To process and respond to requests, incidents or queries from Users when they provide their data through the forms provided for this purpose on the Website. Likewise, they will be followed up later and the information will be analysed for statistical purposes.

  1. For how long will we process your data?

The period of conservation of your data will be determined based on the duration of your relationship with ROVI® and the legally established periods. In this sense, the criteria that ROVI® uses to set the data retention periods have been determined in accordance with the requirements established in the applicable legislation, regulations and normative guidelines, as well as ROVI®‘s operational requirements related to the correct management of existing relationship with stakeholders.

The personal data provided will be kept as long as the User does not request the deletion of their personal data and as long as the processing of the data is not necessary for the execution of the purposes described in this policy.

In particular, the personal data collected in order to respond to a request, query, petition, incident, as well as any other procedure that could be managed through the Website, will be kept for the time necessary for its attention and resolution.

Once the aforementioned periods have elapsed and all the necessary actions have been taken to manage and extinguish the remaining obligations between the parties, the personal data will be deleted. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the data will be kept duly blocked for the period necessary for compliance with a legal obligation or for the formulation, exercise and defense of claims that may arise from the processing thereof.

The Company may communicate your personal data to Public Authorities, regulators or governmental or jurisdictional bodies when required by law, local regulations or in compliance with regulatory obligations.

Apart from the aforementioned data communications, the Company cooperates with certain external service providers who have access to your personal data and who process the aforementioned data on behalf of the Company as a result of the provision of services.

The Company follows strict criteria for the selection of service providers to comply with its obligations regarding data protection, and the corresponding data processing contract is signed with them.

The Company may have third-party collaborators or service providers located outside the territory of the UK (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland). In such cases, the Company adopts the appropriate legal guarantees to allow said transfers to be carried out in accordance with current regulations on data protection.

However, in the case that the personal data transfer takes place from the UK to the European Economic Area (EEA), the UK government has stated that this is permitted.

You can obtain a copy of the measures required by the Company by contacting the Data Protection Officer.

Likewise, the Company may transfer the personal data referred to herein to other companies of the ROVI® Group, for internal administrative or economic/financial management purposes. All the companies of the ROVI® Group are located within the European Union, except for the proper UK and Switzerland, which have received an adequacy decision from the European Commission.

 

  1. What are your rights when you provide your data to us?

Users may exercise their right of access to personal data, as well as request the rectification of inaccurate data or, where appropriate, its deletion. They may also request the limitation, portability and opposition to the processing of their data.

Likewise, the User has the right to revoke, at any time, the consent, where appropriate, provided, without this retroactively affecting the processing of personal data carried out up to that moment.

The User may exercise the aforementioned rights, under the terms provided in current legislation by contacting the Company, to the Information Commissioner’s Office addressing Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF or through the email address protecciondedatos@rovi.es.

When you consider it appropriate, especially in the event that you do not receive a satisfactory response, you may file a claim with the Company, whose contact details have been provided to you at the beginning.
